2025.07.04　インターナショナルデー

7月４日、群馬県内のALT（Assistant Language Teacher）１４名が渋女に集まり、インターナショナルデーを実施しました。１４名の出身地はアメリカ、カナダ、ニュージーランド、イングランド、スコットランドと多岐にわたります。

生徒は、通常の５クラスをバラバラにして７グループに分かれ、工夫されたカリキュラムで朝から夕方まで英語漬けの一日を過ごしました。

プログラムは校長先生の英語でのオプニングスピーチで始まり、14名のALTの個性的な自己紹介で、さっそく会場は爆笑に包まれました。

Icebreaker Game では、各教室に分かれ、英語を使いながらゲームを楽しみ、グループの親睦を深めました。

Cultural Lesson では、出身国以外に世界に様々なルーツを持つALTがそれぞれのルーツに関する地理や歴史、文化的な背景を易しい英語で説明。午後のActivityではクイズ・ゲーム・工作・お絵かき等バラエティーに富んだ方法で異文化に触れました。

Conversations/Letter Writing では、ALTと英会話を楽しむConversations、生まれて始めて英文の手紙を書くLetter Writing に分かれて活動しました。

Closing Ceremony では、親しくなったALTとのお別れを惜しむ生徒も多く、口々に「楽しかった。またやりたい。」と大満足の生徒が多く見受けられました。

ALTはその後、希望する部活動に参加し、生徒によっては部活動も交流が続きました。

On July 4th, 2025, ALTs from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom,  and New Zealand came to Shibujo to share their cultures with the first year students. Throughout the day, the students were quick to ask questions and give answers and push past little mistakes to learn more about various cultures around the world. Their conversation and writing skills impressed each of the visiting teachers so much! Overall, International Day was a successful event that helped everyone, teacher and student alike, understand one another better than before.
